Forest Discovery Workshop
The TGTA have partnered with the Forest Education Foundation to offer a fantastic professional learning opportunity for upper primary and secondary teachers.
This half-day workshop will be held in Hobart on the 15th June from 1:00-3:30pm at the Botanical Gardens.
This workshop will:
o Demonstrate hands on teaching activities and resources
o Highlight fieldwork opportunities within Hobart and surrounds
o Demonstrate how can we use forests as a lens to teach across the geography (and science) curriculums
Key learning areas include: Sustainability, Environmental Management, Forest Biome, Climate Change, Adapting to fire, Systems thinking, Natural Resources, Forest landscapes.
